Have you ever walked outside on a beautiful day, looked up at the sun and instantly started sneezing? Maybe it happens when you leave a dark movie theatre on a sunny day. Or, maybe it doesn’t ensue to you at all. You’ve possibly heard that if you look directly at the sun, you’ll sneeze. And let’s be frank, you’ve maybe also tried it. So, did it work? It turns out a large number of individuals have a reflex reaction to the sun that causes them to sneeze!
This sun-sneezing phenomenon has a name. It’s essentially a recognized disorder known as the photic sneeze reflex (PSR). It’s also referred to as ACHOO syndrome.
